From static displays to live bake offs, there’s plenty of opportunity to get competitive and show off your skills at The Cake & Bake Show. Whether you are a keen cake maker, a professional sugarcrafter or just a budding baker, you will be able to showcase your talents in a number of different areas.

The official cake competition for the Manchester show is themed ‘cake on the catwalk’ and competitors are invited to enter their fashion inspired creations which will be displayed on a purpose built cake catwalk. Entry categories will include junior and non professional.
The theme for this year's professional only category of the Manchester show's cake competition is `Vintage Couture’. All professional cake makers/decorators are invited to use their artistic vision and be inspired by vintage styles to create a cake with the romantic charm which epitomises the principles behind couture design.

In our brand NEW feature - The Competition Theatre, audience members will be chosen to join the baking stars on stage and battle it out in a number of live bake offs. Mich Turner & Peter Sidwell, judges on ITV’s latest TV series Britain’s Best Bakery will host their own series of baking challenges live at the Cake & Bake Show! Competitors will be put through their paces in front of the live audience by the judging duo in our brand new feature - The Competition Theatre. Take the challenge today!
Help us create a whacky wonderland gingerbread village with Billington's at the show! Baking fans will be invited to enter their own gingerbread structures and are being asked to be as creative as possible, taking inspiration from the edible structures in fairytales such as Hansel & Gretel, Alice In Wonderland and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Your creations will be put on display to form a gingerbread village - the perfect showcase for all the latest gingerbread biscuit baking and icing techniques.
